This problem could possibly be down to an unsigned driver issue, however there is no warning nor any dialog box giving advice of this and I was not keen using the system restart method for disabling the unsigned driver check especially as I have BitLocker enabled which would require additional procedures of authorization codes. However not the case on my current laptop hybrid and although the current computer is not a gaming laptop, they all had Windows 10 64bit installed so I'm not sure whats going on.

Using Windows compatability setting appeared to have no effect. If you plug the mouse in from the start without trying to install Mad Catz Drivers, then Windows does set up the device with it's own generic drivers and the mouse itself does appear to function without issue.

However the problem here is that Windows is no happy with it as because Windows will ocassionally complain from time to time that a Device is not recognised and as far as I'm aware, it's complaining about the mouse.

Further more, although the mouse itself appears to function, it sadly appears to upset some other devices especially if on a USB Hub and unless mistaken it appears to affect the performance of some not all programs.

My workaround seems to be as follows: Install the Mad Catz Drivers to a point not the software, at least not yet. I say "to a point" because you'll only be going as far as when it asks for you to plug in the Mouse and then simply close the program by clicking on the cross in the top right-hand corner of the dialog window.

So uninstall the drivers for the mouse by going to the Device Manager and then Uninstall the device making sure you click the check-box option to delete the drivers as well don't worry as the Driver files previously copied over to the Windows temporary folder should still be there. Then go to step 1. I hope the above may help some. Showing 1 - 0 of 0 comments.
